Trip Overview

“Over the mountains and through the woods lies the bewildered path of tranquility.”

Located in the Langtang region lies close to Nepal's border with Tibet, Yala Peak is considered as one of the uncomplicated and trouble-free Himalayan treks. Offering climbers & trekkers with the best thrill of both the adventurous peak climbing and exciting trekking in the Langtang region our Yala Peak Climbing package is most suitable for those who wish to stand on a Himalayan summit but have a limited amount of time available.

Our 15 days Yala Peak Climbing shall commence with a scenic drive through variant landscape from the capital city to Syabrubesi. After our 9 hour drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi, we shall follow our planned itinerary to hike up to Langtang village by trekking through dense forest and traditional ethnic settlements of the Lama Hotel. From here onward we shall pass thorough the beautiful Langtang valley to reach our next point of destination, Kyanjin Gompa at 3,800 meters. Positioned below Langtang Lirung (7,246 m) Kyanjin Gompa is a very appealing place in itself. We shall have a day rest here as you body needs to acclimatize accordingly with the rising altitude and atmospheric pressure of this region. So it shall be great opportunity to visit and explore the Cheese factory which was established in 1955 AD by the Swiss Association for Technical Assistance in Kyanjin Gompa. This journey is full of several opportunities to visit Buddhist monasteries around and gives you a sense of the Tibetan Buddhist culture and historical phenomena. Now we shall head onwards to the Base of Yala Peak from here. We shall set up our base camp on a pasture at 4,800 meters and climb the summit of the Yala Peak the following day. As you reach the summit of the Yala Peak you shall be granted with mystic views of the Lantang Lirung (7,246m), Dorje Lakpa (6,990m) with mighty Shishapangma (8,027m), Lenpo Gang (7,083m), and Gangchempo (6,388m). Without a doubt this should give you a great feeling of gratification and satisfaction as you surmount the Yala peak. Subsequent to successfully completing our climb to the summit of the Yala Peak we shall descend down to Kyanjin Gompa and then retrace our steps back to Syabrubesi via Lama Hotel. From Syabrubesi we shall officially end our startling peak climb with a drive back to Kathmandu.

Truthfully, Yala Peak is one of the world's few climbing peaks that can be done by anyone with common trekking familiarity with proper physical fitness to trek and climb exclusive of any previous climbing knowledge. Yala Peak Climbing is generally attempted from September to December and May to early June.
