Mardi Himal Trek

Trip Overview

“Spring is nature’s way of welcoming the goodness virtue in all of us.”

Mardi Himal Trek is a good quality alternative trek to get away from jam-packed treks of Annapurna with eye-catching views and time interval similar to Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek. Mardi Himal Trekking is a new trekking trail opened recently and is a hidden region sandwiched between two major popular treks; Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek which makes it a perfect place to traverse upon for alternative desires.

Our 10 days Mardi Himal Trek shall take you to the vista less explored by the trekkers whilst exploring the UNESCO World heritages of Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa (The Monkey Temple) and Pashupatinath Temple along with a tour around Patan Durbar Square in the culturally pulsating and vivacious Kathmandu valley. Initially our amazing trek shall start with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Phedi via Pokhara but the real trek shall start with a trek to Pothana (1950m). Mardi Himal Trek helps you explore well established and quiet trail through the grass in the Annapurna region off the hustles and bustles of urban life through a hidden gem area of the Annapurna region. The trek in Mardi Himal consist of short ascend and descend every day. It is an interesting trek compared to other popular treks in the Annapurna region. The Tea house on Mardi Himal Trek is basic and offers only the essential items to trekkers. With several stops in our journey we shall move on towards Mardi Himal Base Camp. We shall pass through Forest Camp (2,550m), High Camp (3,900m) before and ultimately reaching our main attraction point of our trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m) for the unparalleled close up view of Annapurna, Fishtail and Mardi Himal. After capturing the scenic vistas and moments with some clicks of photos we now should head back. Subsequently we shall now trail back to Nayapool. We shall traverse through the cultural and artistic riches of Landruk village and all the way through many other smaller settlements on the way before reaching our final destination, Nayapool in the later part of our trip. Now we shall officially conclude and end our trek to Mardi Himal Base Camp with a drive back to Pokhara and drive/fly back to Kathmandu from Pokhara respectively.

This is a striking and appealing trek in Nepal filled with magnificent routes that provide a golden opportunity to explore traditional villages with their authentic and original ethnic diverse cultures. It is considered beneficial to have an above average physical fitness level for this trek. Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) are generally preferred as the best seasons for this trip.
