Our Jomsom Muktinath Trek takes you to the wonderland of the Himalayas, into the land of extremes that hosts world’s deepest gorge made by Kali Gandaki River, arid and semi-desert landscape in the rain shadow areas north of Annapurna region and the towns famous for speedy afternoon winds. It takes 12 days to accomplish this trek and it can be completed by anybody with moderate level of fitness. Our trek follows through Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world and takes you to Muktinath, sacred temple famous for devotees and pilgrims from all across the globe. After sightseeing of Kathmandu valley, you fly to Pokhara popularly known as City of Lakes. Then you trek to Tikhendhunga, Ghorepani and Tatopani passing through beautiful rice terraces and amazing villages of ethnic people mostly Gurungs. Exploring the apple orchards with world-famous apple of Marpha, trekkers also get to relax at the natural hot water springs in Tatopani believed to have some healing quality for the skin diseases such as acne. You also get to trek to Muktinath, a sacred temple for both Hindus and Buddhists. In Muktinath temple, you get an opportunity to worship Lord Vishnu who is considered the God of Salvation by Hindus. You get to visit the ancient caves and mysterious monasteries, desert-like Tibetan plateau, view of the high mountains of Himalayas without ascending to high altitude.

This adventurous trek terminates in the Pokhara city while the actual trekking begins at the town of Jomsom. Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264 ft] and transfer to hotel

Day 01:Arrival day in Kathmandu [1,300m/4,264 ft]

Upon arrival at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport You will be met by our airport representative and transferred to the hotel by our private tourist vehicle. During this time we will brief you about the trip.

Day 02:Fly to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft] and Trek to Tikhendhunga [1,552m/5,090ft]: 4-5 hrs

Early morning we take flight to Pokhara from kathmandu. During the flight we can see great views of the Himalayas from the right side of our airplane. After landing at Pokhara Airport, we will take a short drive to Nayapul and start the trek. we walk to the Birethanti along the river. The trail then leads you towards Bhurundi khola, along with great scenery passing through several countryside villages all the way up to Tikhedhunga. We will stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 03:Tikhedhunda to Ghorepani [2,750m/9,020ft]: 6-7 hrs

After breakfast, we prepare for the long uphill climb to Ulleri, which has 3200 stone steps and amazing landscape views featuring the valley and part of the Annapurna range. This scenery will motivate you to climb up the steps and immerse yourself deeper into the hike. After a short walk from Ulleri, the trail leads you through the forest of rhododendron, which is national flower of Nepal. Then the trail continues uphill to Ghorepani which is on the top of a hill boasting excellent views of entire Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri. We will stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 04:Ghorepani to Tatopani [1,190m/3,904ft]: 5-6 hrs

From Ghorepani, the trails continues downhill through rhododendron forest and several villages to reach Tatopani.On the way to Tatopani, we descend steeply to Sikha, a large village & further descend to Ghar Khola Village . Tatopani, meaning Hot Water in Nepali where it has a great hot spring and one of the highlights of trek.

Day 05:Tatopani to Ghasa [2,110m/6,922ft]: 5-6 hrs

After breakfast, our trek starts walking along Kali Gandaki which is the deepest gorge in the world, situated between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges. After passing a bridge at Dana you will get to see Rupse Chahara meaning beautiful waterfall and Kopchepani the trail leads towards Ghasa for our overnight stay.

Day 06:Ghasa to Marpha [2,680m/8,792ft]: 4-5hrs

The trail continues the bank of a Kaligandagi river passing through Larjung , a thakali traditional village. From Larjung ,we cross trail through Tukuche. After a short climb, you will reach Marpha, which is probably the most beautiful village , boasting an interesting settlement and a beautiful apple garden. We will stay overnight at the lodge.

Day 07:Marpha to Kagbeni [2,810/9,218ft]: 4-5 hrs

We will be starting early in the morning to cross the Jomsom valley because it is very windy in the afternoon. This will be very easy day walking along the river side to get Kagbeni. Kagbeni is a beautiful village situated on the main age old Trans himalayan and the entry point of upper Mustang area.

Day 08:Kagbeni to Muktinath [3,710m/12,170ft]: 5-6 hrs

The Trail continues easy walking through a desert landscape till Jarkot Village. A further climb takes us to Muktinath. Muktinath is one of the most famous religious and sacred place for Hindus as well as Buddhists. The main temple stands of Vishnu and the holy water flows from the 108 carved spouts.

Day 09:Muktinath to Jomsom [2,715m/8,910ft]: 5-6 hrs

A lovely day walking along Kali Gandaki river through the narrow George, after passing through Jharkot. we will reach Jomson. From here we can see amazing view of Nilgiri Peak. We stay overnight at jomsom.

Day 10:Jomsom to Pokhara by flight

After having breakfast we take flight back to Pokhara. During the flight you will get to see amazing view of mountains. After arriving at Pokhara, you can take a walk along the bank of Fewa Lake or take a boat around the Fewa Lake. In the evening you can explore Pokhara Valley. We will stay overnight at Pokhara.

Day 11:Drive to Kathmandu

It will take 5 to 6 hours to reach Kathmandu by bus. After arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred to hotel by our representative. Later, in the evening you can enjoy Nepalese cuisine in one of the finest restaurants in the city.

Day 12:Final departure
